PRINTED MODEL MATERIALS, PART QUALITY, LIMITATIONS AND DEFECTS

  1. The 3D printing process presents limitations. Some but not all of these limitations have been outlined on our Design Guidelines page. By placing an order, you agree that you have read, understand and accept the limitations and capabilities of the 3D printing service. We will not be held responsible for any imperfections, weaknesses, issues or inaccuracies resulting from issues in the file submitted or as a result of limitations of the 3D printing process.

  2. The printed models should not be used as toys or given to children. The printed models should not come into contact with electricity, food or liquids and should be kept away from heat.

  3. All printed models are supplied at your own risk. It is your responsibility to ensure the model is fit for purpose and designed with the necessary consideration.

  4. By accepting an order, we assume that the client understands the limitations and design constraints of the 3D printing process. Although we will let you know of any major issues with the files submitted where possible, the printed model may ultimately be printed as received.

  5. You understand the weaknesses and reduced strength of printed models when compared to moulded parts.

  6. You understand that printed models can contain imperfections and dimensional differences to the supplied .STL file. It is your responsibility to evaluate the printed models and complete dimensional checks prior to using parts for use as part of the design process.

  7. Printed models should be used as a design aid to support the design process only and not be used solely or independently to other design aids such as 3D CAD. We will not be liable for any consequences resulting from visual, physical or dimensional imperfections with the supplied 3D models.

  8. We cannot guarantee any walls thinner than 1mm will form correctly.

  9. It is the clients responsibility to check that the completed printed models comply with requirements. We shall not be liable to you or any third party in any way for any loss or damage that arises out of the use of the printed models.

  10. 11. We will decide solely about the build orientation of the printed model.

  12. A printed model cannot be refused because of the chosen printing orientation (unless specifically agreed) or because of factors affecting production, such as composition of raw materials etc.

  13. There may be minor visual differences between multiple copies of one printed model.

  14. We provide no warranty or guarantee with our printed models.

PRINTING 3D FLOOR PLANS, ARCHITECTURE AND LANDSCAPES

1. Printed models should be used as a visual aid only. They should not be used to determine the size or proportion of spaces. Technical drawings and plans should always remain the driving aid in the design process.

2. You understand that the 3D printing process presents limitations and when scaled down, some details may not print correctly or clearly.

3. You understand that making models suitable for the 3D printing process can mean that a scale factor is not always maintained. For example, wall thicknesses will be increased to a width that can be printed. Other details may also need to be adjusted in order to print successfully.

4. You understand that the 3D printed model may not directly resemble the supplied drawings, plans or 3D CAD file.

5. We will not be liable for any liabilities, costs, expenses, damages or losses (including any direct or indirect consequential losses, loss of profit, loss of reputation and all interest, penalties and legal and other professional costs and expenses) suffered or incurred as a result of the printed models supplied by us.

  3. We will not be liable for any liabilities, costs, expenses, damages or losses (including any direct or indirect consequential losses, loss of profit, loss of reputation and all interest, penalties and legal and other professional costs and expenses) suffered or incurred as a result of the design work supplied by us.
