Sooko Ltd (T/A Print My Part) Terms and Conditions

The following terms and conditions are a legal agreement between you and Sooko Ltd (T/A Print My Part) and its affiliates (collectively, “Sooko Ltd (T/A Print My Part) ”, “we”, “us” or “our”). These terms and conditions govern your use of the services we offer and the use of https://www.printmypart.co.uk (the “Sooko Ltd (T/A Print My Part) Website” or “Website”).

 

By using the Sooko Ltd (T/A Print My Part)  services or website, you acknowledge you have read, understood and agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions and to comply with all applicable laws and regulations. You also certify that any 3D file (“3D Model”) uploaded to the Sooko Ltd (T/A Print My Part) website does not violate any federal law or regulation. If you do not agree with these Terms and Conditions, you should not use the Website or Services.

 

ORDERS

 

  1. By placing an order, you agree to enter a contract with Sooko Ltd (T/A Print My Part) , agreeing to the terms and conditions as set out below.

  2. An order will be accepted, once full payment has been received.

  3. Quotations will remain valid for the number of days outlined on the quotation.

  4. We reserve the right to refuse any order without reason or explanation, even after a payment has been received.

 

PAYMENT

 

  1. We will invoice the you upon agreement of an order. Unless otherwise specified, invoices must be paid in full before the job will commence.

  2. Sooko Ltd (T/A Print My Part) are VAT registered and therefore VAT will be payable at the current UK rate.

 

METHODS OF PAYMENT

 

1. Payment can be made using the following options:

  • BACS

 

2. All payment details will be outlined on the invoice.

CHANGES AND CANCELLATION

 

  1. If there are any changes to the details or files supplied by you it is your responsibility to inform us as soon as possible. If design work or manufacture has already commenced, you are required to pay in full for the job submitted.

  2. You may cancel your order at any time prior to your order being processed by contacting us in writing.

  3. Where the order is cancelled before completion, we reserve the right to charge for preparation or design work carried out. We also reserve the right to re-quote for jobs that have changed.

  4. Cancellation will be at our discretion. You will be liable to pay for any jobs already started.

 

NON UK CUSTOMERS

 

1. All quotation prices and invoices are in GB Pounds unless otherwise agreed.

2. All payments are required to be made in GB Pounds unless otherwise agreed.

 

CONFIDENTIALITY

 

  1. It will be assumed that all files submitted to us, either digitally or in person, are copies and not the original files. Consequently, we are not required to keep these files once jobs have been quoted for and/or completed.

  2. We treat all projects with complete confidentiality. We understand that your digital files and 3D Models may need to remain undisclosed to the public. Therefore, in the interest of data protection, confidentiality and protection of intellectual property, all files will be deleted from our system within 180 days of receipt.

  3. It is the customers responsibility to ask for any files which may have been created by us, within 30 days of payment. After this, they may have been permanently deleted.

  4. For complete peace of mind, we are happy to sign a Non Disclosure Agreement (NDA) prior to quoting and completing jobs. However, it is the responsibility of the client to arrange this.

 

LEAD TIMES

 

  1. All lead times will be quoted on the quotation. 

  2. We will endeavour to meet the lead time quoted, however this is in no way guaranteed. Factors such as machine failure/malfunction and acts of God may cause orders to be delayed by any given number of days. If this is the case, we will ensure we contact you at the earliest possible opportunity.

 

3D PRINTING MATERIALS, PART QUALITY, LIMITATIONS AND DEFECTS

 

  1. The 3D printing process presents limitations. Some but not all of these limitations have been outlined on our Design Guidelines page. By placing an order, you agree that you understand and accept the limitations and capabilities of the 3D printing process. We will not be held responsible for any imperfections, weaknesses, issues or inaccuracies resulting from issues in the file submitted or as a result of limitations of the 3D printing process.

  2. The printed models should not be used as toys or given to children. The printed parts should not come into contact with electricity, food or liquids and should be kept away from heat.

  3. All printed models are supplied at your own risk. It is your responsibility to ensure the model is fit for purpose and designed/ 3D printed with the necessary consideration. We will not be liable for any liabilities, costs, expenses, damages or losses (including any direct or indirect consequential losses, loss of profit, loss of reputation and all interest, penalties and legal and other professional costs and expenses) suffered or incurred as a result of the supplied 3D printed parts.

  4. By accepting an order, we assume that the client understands the limitations and design constraints of the 3D printing process. Although we will let you know of any major issues with the files submitted where possible, the printed model may ultimately be printed as received. 

  5. You understand the weaknesses and reduced strength of printed models when compared to moulded parts.

  6. You understand that printed models can contain imperfections and dimensional differences to the supplied .STL file. It is your responsibility to evaluate the printed models and complete dimensional checks prior to using parts for use as part of the design process.

  7. Printed models should be used as a design aid to support the design process only and not be used solely or independently to other design aids such as 3D CAD. We will not be liable for any consequences resulting from visual, physical or dimensional imperfections with the supplied 3D printed model.

  8. We cannot guarantee any walls thinner than 1mm will form correctly.

  9. It is your responsibility to test and approve the function and performance of 3D printed models supplied by us to ensure they are fit for purpose. This includes any testing, certification, regulation and/or compliance required before parts can be used and/or sold.

  10. It is your responsibility to check that the completed printed parts comply with requirements. We will not be liable for any liabilities, costs, expenses, damages or losses (including any direct or indirect consequential losses, loss of profit, loss of reputation and all interest, penalties and legal and other professional costs and expenses) suffered or incurred as a result of the 3D printed models supplied by us.

  11. We will decide solely the build orientation of the printed model. A printed model cannot be refused because of the chosen printing orientation (unless specifically agreed) or because of factors affecting production, such as composition of raw materials etc. 

  12. There may be minor visual differences between multiple copies of one printed model supplied as part of the same order.

  13. Unless specified, the 3D printing materials used are not UV stable. Over time, 3D printed parts will degrade as a result of exposure to UV light. This degradation process will be faster if parts are exposed to sunlight. Unless specifically discussed, UV degradation should be expected.

  14. Unless otherwise agreed, we provide no warranty or guarantee with our 3D printed models.

OTHER MANUFACTURING PROCESSES

  1. In addition to 3D printing, we use a range of manufacturing process including but not limited to, Injection Moulding, Vacuum Casting, CNC Machining, and Laser Cutting. These processes are completed by trusted third party contractors.

  2. If these processes require tooling, unless otherwise specified tooling will remain your property. However, please be aware this tooling may remain at the site of the third party manufacturer and any cost associated to obtaining this tooling will be your responsibility. The security and safe storage off this tooling cannot be guaranteed.

  3. All manufacturing processes present limitations. By placing an order, you agree that you understand and accept the limitations and capabilities of the agreed manufacturing process. We will not be held responsible for any imperfections, weaknesses, issues or inaccuracies resulting from manufacturing issues or defects which are a result of the limitations of the manufacturing process.

  4. It is your responsibility to test and approve the function and performance of parts supplied by us to ensure they are fit for purpose. This includes any testing, certification, regulation and/or compliance required before parts can be used and/or sold.

  5. Unless specified, many of the materials we use are not UV stable. Over time, parts will degrade as a result of exposure to UV light. This degradation process will be faster if parts are exposed to sunlight. Unless specifically discussed, UV degradation should be expected.

  6. All parts are supplied at your own risk. It is your responsibility to ensure the suppled part is fit for purpose and designed/manufactured with the necessary consideration. We will not be liable for any liabilities, costs, expenses, damages or losses (including any direct or indirect consequential losses, loss of profit, loss of reputation and all interest, penalties and legal and other professional costs and expenses) suffered or incurred as a result of manufactured parts supplied by us.

  7. There may be minor visual differences between multiple parts supplied as part of the same order.

  8. Unless otherwise agreed, we provide no warranty or guarantee with our manufactured parts.

USE OF THIRD PARTY CONTRACTORS

  1. Design and/or manufacture work to be completed by us may be passed to a trusted third party consultancy or contractor for completion. This process will be completed under NDA to ensure complete protection of your design. We will only pass your information on to a third party if absolutely necessary and this will never be used for marketing purposes. These contractors will be supplied information on a ‘need to know’ basis and personal client details will not be shared.  If you do not want your data supplied to a third party, you must specify this during quotation.

  2. In some instances, we use trusted third party manufacturers and 3D printing contractors to supply parts. Under NDA, these contractors will be supplied .STL or .STEP files either sent by you or created by us in line with your design requirements. These contractors will be supplied information on a ‘need to know’ basis and personal client details will not be shared. If you do not want your parts sharing with a third party, you must specify this during quotation.

INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY RIGHTS

 

  1. All printed models and manufacturing work is completed as requested by the you. It is your responsibility to ensure that all files submitted for printing are free from any intellectual property protection.

  2. You will be responsible for any intellectual property claims resulting from a printed model, object or design manufactured by us.

  3. By accepting your order, we have every right to assume that the client has created or obtained the right to print and/or manufacture the supplied model.

  4. All Intellectual Property Rights remain with you.

  5. You acknowledge that the infringement of intellectual property rights can be illegal and a criminal offence.

  6. Any design work completed by us will not knowingly infringe an existing patent, registered design, legislation, approvals or intellectual property, however it is up to you to formally check that the design complies with any existing intellectual property, standards or legal requirements.

  7. We will not register claim of any intellectual property or design rights generated from the design work or manufacture we carry out. This is your responsibility.

 

DESIGN CONSULTANCY WORK

  1. Any advice given in respect of any product or service provided by us or by a third party, whether introduced by us directly or indirectly is accepted by you as an opinion and as such you agree that prior to acting on any of the aforementioned that you will first obtain professional advice. You further agree to indemnify us of all liability with regard to any decision or action performed by you that may or may not be a direct or indirect result of any contact or dealing with us.

  2. Our consultancy service and general advice is, by its nature, subjective. It is up to you whether you decide to follow our ideas and suggestions.

  3. Where applicable, we will endeavour to design parts which are fit for purpose. However it is ultimately your responsibility to test and approve the function and performance of designs and supplied parts to ensure they are fit for purpose. This includes any testing, certification, regulation and/or compliance required before advice, design work, CAD files or drawings can be used, manufactured and/or sold.

  4. We will not be liable for any liabilities, costs, expenses, damages or losses (including any direct or indirect consequential losses, loss of profit, loss of reputation and all interest, penalties and legal and other professional costs and expenses) suffered or incurred as a result of the advice, design work, CAD files or drawings supplied by us.

  5. Design work to be completed by us may be passed to a third party consultancy or contractor for completion. This process will be completed under NDA to ensure complete protection of your design.

  6. Any information, design work, graphics, trademarks or logos you provide us for inclusion in the product are either owned by you or you have written permission to use them.

DELIVERY

 

  1. All orders will be dispatched free of charge to any UK postcode using the Royal Mail 1st Class Recorded or Royal Mail Special Delivery Service. All parts dispatched with Royal Mail Special Delivery will be insured up to a value of £500 and are guaranteed for delivery by 1pm the following working day.

  2. Additional insurance must be requested by the client and will be at the clients cost.

  3. The next day delivery guarantee is with Royal Mail. This will be in accordance with their terms and conditions.

  4. All orders which are not sent using an insured service will be entirely at the clients risk. We will not be liable for any delay, damage or loss incurred.

  5. If collection in person or a client arranged courier is requested, this will be at the client risk. We will not be liable for any loss or damage occurred once parts have been handed over to the recipient or courier.

  6. International orders are welcome, however an additional delivery charge may be incurred. This will be outlined on the invoice. We will not be liable for the loss, damage or delay of any international deliveries dispatched without insurance.

  7. If you fail to accept delivery of the order, we are not required to refund you.

 

RETURNS 

 

  1. All items are 100% checked prior to dispatch. In the unfortunate event that you are not happy to the item received, please get in touch and we will endeavour to help / put this right.

  2. It is the clients responsibility to inspect manufactured parts within 5 workings days of delivery.  Any alleged defects, shortfalls or sub standard work must be notified to us within 5 working days of delivery. 

  3. In the event of a sub-standard parts being sent out, it is your responsibility to return these and paperwork to us for inspection. These parts will be sent at the clients cost and risk. This cost will only be reimbursed if the manufactured item/s is deemed sub-standard.

  4. All printed models and manufactured parts are bespoke to you We do not accept returns unless proven incorrect.

  5. Manufacturing processes such as 3D printing do have limitations. If you are unsure of the limitations please ask. If the part we have manufactured is falling within the expected limitations of the process, we will not be able to provide a refund. It is your responsibility to understand the limitations of the quoted manufacture process.

WEBSITE USAGE

 

  1. This website contains material which is owned by or licensed to us. This material includes, but is not limited to, the design, layout, look, appearance and graphics. Reproduction is prohibited.

  2. Every effort has been taken to ensure the content of this website is accurate. However, information and materials may contain inaccuracies or errors and we exclude liability for any such inaccuracies or errors. 

GENERAL

 

1. These terms and conditions, and any dispute or claim arising, shall be governed by, and construed in accordance with, English Law, and the parties irrevocably submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

 

We reserve the right to change product specification and/or terms and conditions without prior notice.
